Why a Vinyl Liner Swimming Pool Might Be Right for You

Last updated on January 13, 2020 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

If you think an in-ground swimming pool is out of reach for your finances, your climate, or the unique setting of your yard, think again: a vinyl liner pool may be possible, even when other types of swimming pools are not. In addition to offering an abundance of custom design possibilities, vinyl liner pools also represent an in-ground swimming pool option for residential use that’s easy to install and has lasting quality — and is possible without breaking the bank!

Quality Construction & Easy Installation

Today’s vinyl liner pools are both flexible and durable. Able to withstand even the extreme temperature shifts of northern regions, vinyl liners are built on Graphex walls. The solid concrete bottom structures and Graphex walls with concrete-braced polycarbonite are lined with membranes made from vinyl — allowing these pools to offer a lifespan between 15 and 20 years. (Yes, as long as your vinyl liner is used with care and carefully maintained, it can last for 2 decades!) The flexible yet durable construction can also provide support for structures surrounding your pool, especially when solid I-races and structural resin walls are part of the equation.

While other swimming pool options are highly dependent on the weather for installation, vinyl liner pools can be installed almost any time. While some settings might prohibit other swimming pool options, vinyl liner pool can still be a possibility. The time frame for installation is also easier to predict, and installation is much simpler than that of other swimming pool types.

Abundant Benefits and Plentiful Options

One major attraction of vinyl liner pools is their smooth surface; not only is the smooth surface comfortable, but it also resists algae buildup, reducing the amount of time a pool owner needs to spend on swimming pool maintenance. Today’s vinyl liner designs are so attractive that they can even be mistaken for ceramic tiles!

When they were first becoming available, vinyl liner swimming pools were pretty basic. Available in a single style (aqua) and a single shape (rectangular), they didn’t show much promise, as far as attraction goes. Today’s vinyl liner pools are quite different than the ones around during your grandparents’ day, though! Available in a wide assortment of colors and patterns including a tiled look along the waterline, vinyl liner pools can also incorporate special features such as waterfalls, underwater speakers, and fiber optic lights. Even custom design elements like negative-edge or freeform shapes can be possibilities.

Thanks to the high-quality vinyl liners available today, you’ll be able to have your initial swimming pool investment paid off well before the vinyl liner needs to be replaced. In the meantime, you and your family and friends will be able to appreciate the many benefits of your in-ground swimming pool!
