Among our five one-of-a-kind premier wood flooring collections, our Legacy Collection is where affordability meets hand-scraped hardwood flooring. This collection was actually developed by Rehmeyer Wood Floors due to the high interest in our Authentic Hand-Scraped Collection.

As the crème-de-la-crème of hardwood flooring, the look and feel of the Authentic Hand-Scraped Collection with its completely hand-tooled work of art has no comparison. However, the pricing associated with the myriad man hours required to achieve such a result is simply beyond the reach of much prospective clientele.

As a result, the Legacy Collection utilizes many of the same methods used in our Authentic Hand-Scraped Collection. In addition to traditional hand tools, however, our craftsmen utilize hand-held power scraping tools in order to arrive at the foot-worn styling you can see as well as feel.

The perfect complement to a Tuscan decorating scheme, this subtle look of gently worn flooring invites your guests to feel right at home. Each board of your Legacy Collection flooring will be individually textured with Rehmeyer’s own unique blend of scraping and sanding techniques. We create our flooring in random widths of 4, 5, and 6 inches, allowing for a staggered, natural appearance. Your flooring comes pre-sanded, ready for finishing, with standard soft edges. Hand-beveled edges or time-worn pegs (shaped and cut by hand) can provide additional interest and add to the rustic appeal of your new floor.

Our Legacy Collection Flooring comes in your choice of species, including Cherry, Red Birch, Walnut, and White Oak. You also choose your accent color from the following: Cinnamon, Mocha, or Smoke. Any of those species can be combined with any of the three accent colors, but we have some outstanding combinations that we highly recommend.

We love the look of Legacy Collection Cherry flooring that’s highlighted with the Mocha accent color. The effect is akin to Old World charm, offering an inviting appearance that radiates warmth and beauty. Add some Venetian plaster walls and wrought iron accents, and you’ll have the perfect backdrop for your Tuscan retreat.

The way we mill and work our Legacy Collection Red Birch flooring accentuates the beauty of the species’ natural characteristics in a unique way. Any accent color will help highlight its silky grain, knots, and other character marks. While similar to Cherry in appearance, Red Birch takes your floor’s resilience up a few notches, due to its greater hardness.

Legacy Collection Walnut flooring offers the luxury of rich chocolate along with the casual feel of foot-worn styling, for a look that’s sure to please. Our character-grade Walnut provides natural diversity and charm, which can be further intensified with a Tung Oil finish.

Providing a completely different look from the darker species, Legacy Collection White Oak makes sense with almost any decorating scheme. Its golden tones help whatever Accent Color you choose to truly pop, providing a casual, low key look that’s sure to suit anyone’s tastes.
