Perfect Furniture for a Boy’s Bedroom, Part 1

Last updated on August 13, 2015 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

When your little boy gets older, that plastic car bed doesn’t quite cut it any more. Rather than cobbling together bedroom furniture from various stores, consider purchasing a set — pieces that are intended to go together. The Bedroom Source furniture showroom, located in Carle Place, Long Island, offers several bedroom collections for boys.

Black Collection

Just like it sounds, this furniture collection is black, with a smooth texture. This collection is classic, with louvers and spindles, but it has a slight twist with the metal drawer pulls — there is elegance while remaining masculine. You can choose from among a variety of pieces.

The Black Collection offers four bed styles — the Night and Day Bed provides a sleeping place and sitting area, while the Panel Bed maintains a traditional feel. The Reading bed has a patterned head and foot boards, with finials on the headboard. It also features a built-in reading light.

For a different feel, consider the American Classic Metal Bed; it’s designed to provide a vintage look. If you need a bunk bed, the Vintage Bunk Bed, similar in style to the reading bed, has a slanted ladder for bunk access and a safety rail on the top bunk.

The Black Collection has multiple options for clothing storage. The 5 Drawer Chest is a bit of a misnomer — this fifty-two inch high chest actually has six larger drawers and two smaller drawers. The Map Drawer Chest contains sixteen fairly shallow drawers; you can add a mirror on top, choosing from two different styles. The Map Drawer Dresser, with its twelve drawers, can also have one of two mirrors on top. The Classic Wardrobe features double doors that open up to drawers and shelves for storage.

The Black Bookcase has a curved design, with three shelves split into cubbies and two drawers. One unique seating choice is the Metal Bed Bench — it gives an interesting twist to any bedroom and adds seating.

For working on schoolwork, you can choose between the Desk & Hutch or the Metal Desk. The Desk & Hutch is black with extra storage in the hutch. The Metal Desk also provides shelving above the desk. The Young Banker’s Chair is a desk chair with wheels and adjustable seat height that works with either desk.
