Outdoor Security Cameras You Can Afford

Last updated on May 19, 2017 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

As part of any X10 Home Security System, you’ll have the chance to choose from the growing selection of Wifi-enabled video cameras, each of which has its own unique strengths and benefits. Today, we’ll take a look at the two Outdoor Airsight Camera Models: the XX60A and XX70A.

Outdoor Camera Overview

Intended for use alongside the other 4 layers of an X10 Home Security System, either of the X10 Outdoor Security Camera options will provide the potential for remote oversight of the entrances and outdoor areas surrounding your home. All Airsight Cameras include user-friendly setup, exceptional durability, and IP technology. Combined with the free X10 app that works with any Apple or Android device, X10 Outdoor Airsight Cameras use QR codes to link up with your existing smartphone; once you achieve WiFi connectivity, you’ll be able to view your camera’s video feed remotely.

Equipped with the capability to stream video at the rate of 30fps and connect via any standard WiFi signal, all X10 Outdoor Cameras include IR sensors especially equipped to pick up images even in low-light conditions. All X10 Outdoor Cameras are housed in weather-safe aluminum. Extending from the housing, you’ll see a large antenna and a long power cable. The antenna is weatherproof and functions to send information to your home’s router; the heavy-duty power cable provides plenty of leeway to allow you to place your Outdoor Camera in the location which you determine to be best.

XX60A

The spherical design of the XX60A Airsight Pan Tilt ZOOM Indoor/Outdoor Camera (discontinued) has the potential to pan 355° and tilt a full 90°. The XX60A Camera has a 9mm lens that supports 3x optical zoom. The Pan-and-Tilt Functionality of the XX60A allows you to control the camera’s position remotely from your phone, supported by your favorite browser (IE, Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari). You can also choose whether to receive notifications when the motion sensors are activated or stream video constantly to your device. You can also back up the video through your phone or an SD card stored in the camera itself.

XX70A

With a design similar to the XX60A Camera, the XX70A Airsight Pan Tilt ZOOM IP WiFi Indoor/Outdoor IP Camera offers even more impressive features. With the potential to pan 355° and tilt up to 75° and provide 4x optical zoom, the XX70A provides ultra-high resolution 960p HD video. This kind of video could make a big difference in allowing you or the police to identify an intruder or to notice important details, in the case that your property is damaged or stolen.

Either the XX60A or the XX70A Indoor/Outdoor Camera can be set up to trigger your home’s Security System Alarm in case of motion detection. Either camera can operate efficiently between the temperatures of 14°-131° Fahrenheit with humidity levels ranging from 20-85%, as long as condensation does not occur.
