Furniture tells a lot about a person. For example: where do you study/work? If you have a big project that needs to be done, where can you go and easily accomplish the task? If you are like me, most desks just are comfortable for long periods of time or just not big enough. Well, I am going to tell you how you can have a custom built desk suited for your needs. Are you ready? Grab a comfy chair, because here we go!

How would you like to be able to have your desk near your bed? Stay with me now! It is simple and not impossible, and I shall explain. You can have a loft bed where the bed is up top and the desk and bookshelves are down below. Another option is to have a reading area up top and the bed down on the bottom in the middle of the bookshelves and the desk off to the corner.

You can choose from a simple writing desk or a corner desk with lots of storage space. Those are just a few examples of what you can find at The Bedroom Source of Carle Place, Long Island. With a custom built desk, you can use your imagination and create your own personal workspace. There are so many options that you can do which might make a plain old desk seem boring to you.

Now that we’ve covered desks, why not mosey on over to the bookshelves. Bookshelves also say a lot about a person. My bookshelf is crammed packed full of textbooks and reading books. Let’s face it, one bookshelf is generally not enough. An average person typically needs at least two bookshelves. This allows room for yearbooks, textbooks, regular books, and little trinkets (which are always on bookshelves).

Picture this scene: you are in bed, and before you go to sleep you want to read a chapter or two of your favorite book. But there is a problem; you are comfortably in bed, and the book is way across the room on the crammed bookshelf. There has got to be an easier way to fit your books and have them near your bed or desk. There is!!!! How would you like to have your bookshelves attached to your bed? Or have your bed in between the bunk walls of shelves? You could have two bookshelves and have room to organize your books by either author names or by favorite book.

Desks and bookshelves are some of the most basic pieces of furniture necessary in every kid or teen’s bedroom. Desks are important, especially if you are in school, because the right desk will give you adequate space to work and study. The right desk will give you room to work and space to be organized. Bookshelves are important, because, well face it, we all have books. We have to have enough space to display and place our books.
