Growing Up with Maxtrix Kids Furniture

In a previous article we shared how the Maxtrix® Basic Daybed is the cornerstone of every Maxtrix collection. The initial decisions you make about your Maxtrix collection are just that: they’re a starting point, unlike practically every other bedroom set on the market. The incredible versatility of this distinctive furniture system allows you to make a variety of adjustments from the initial purchase and then throughout the lifetime of your Maxtrix furniture set. Let’s consider some of the possible stages which your flexibly configurable Maxtrix bedroom system might go through as it adapts to your child’s evolving demands.

Years of Preschool Play

You should give your child a secure environment to play as they move from toddler to preschool years. A Maxtrix Play Loft like this one would be the ideal place to accomplish that. By selecting a Low Loft height, you can keep safety, as well as an angled ladder with a hand rail for entering and a slide that is likely to become a favorite for exiting.

Your youngster will have plenty of room to let his or her imagination run wild if you add a bed-top tent, an under-bed curtain, and perhaps even a princess tower over the slide. (You may select a funky Mid-Loft or Bunk Bed design.) Items like a 4-Drawer Chest or a 5-Drawer Narrow Chest can be used to meet storage needs.

Siblings Sharing a Room

Perhaps your family is expanding, so you need to make the most of your floor space by bundling several beds together. There are other ways to arrange them, like a Quad arrangement, or a Corner arrangement, or an L-shaped Parallel Bunk Bed.

With the stacked beds, the same storage furniture will still look excellent; to reduce the likelihood of sibling rivalry, we advise having an equal number of pieces and/or drawers for each child to use.

Zones for Independent Study

Individual Desks can be used to create independent study rooms, which are particularly beneficial for children who get to bunk up; coordinating Hutches can provide them discreet areas to personalize. As they get older, you might instead want to give each child their own area of the room, complete with a study loft, storage bed, or something in between. By eliminating the Crown Moulding Top and Base, the identical storage units that have previously stood alone can fit below a Maxtrix bed.

Keep in mind that you can always alter your mind later, no matter what “phase” you choose to start your Maxtrix trip with. Nothing is permanent, so your original investment is safe, and you can keep using your Maxtrix furniture for many years to come.
