Goldendoodles, also known as Groodles, Goldenpoos, and Goldiedoodles, are a very popular dog breed in North America and Australia. The Goldendoodle is a mix between a Poodle and a Golden Retriever, and like all mixed breeds, there are various levels of genetics.
An F1 Goldendoodle, for example, is the offspring of a pure Poodle and a pure Golden Retriever, an F1B Goldendoodle is the offspring of a Goldendoodle and either a pure Poodle or a pure Golden Retriever, and an F2 Goldendoodle is the offspring of two Goldendoodles. The Goldendoodle’s size can vary considerably, depending on the size of the poodle used in breeding.
Standard sized Goldendoodles usually weigh over 45 pounds as adults, with some reaching excess of 100 pounds, while the miniature Goldendoodle usually never exceeds 30 pounds. Goldendoodles are extremely popular family dogs, due to their great temperaments. Goodendoodles are intelligent, trainable, moderately energetic, and friendly towards both humans and other dogs.
