eGiving for Beginners

Last updated on September 25, 2012 by Sozo Staff Leave a Comment

In the past 12 years since eGiving.com was founded by George Eusterman, it has expanded and included many aspects that we never envisioned. As technology continues to change the way we think and do things, our general purpose remains unchanged: To empower ministries like yours to expand Christ’s Kingdom through financial technologies. As we help you reach and build more secure relationships with Kingdom-minded individuals, we are achieving our goals. We realize that the precise ways that we help you achieve that will continue to flex with technology. At the same time, we don’t anticipate any major changes to our core offerings: recurring electronic giving, online giving, and ministry guidance.

Recurring Electronic Giving

This benchmark service of ours is where we began. Thanks to our founder George Eusterman’s experience with it in his secular career as a health club owner, we’re committed to using EFT-based giving to help givers who desire to be faithful to fund your ministry in a way that provides your ministry with financial stability. Unlike pledge-based systems, our recurring electronic giving system provides funding you can rely upon. Unlike fundraisers, it’s inexpensive to run and provides benefits even beyond the initial year of commitment. In fact, we’ve seen that the typical eGiver—19 out of 20!—is still giving regularly 5 years after making a commitment! If you know anything about how uncertain pledges are, you know that this kind of success is remarkable.

Online Giving

Providing support for both non-web natives and those who regularly populate the internet, this method is a prime way to give current givers more opportunities to give as well as to allow others to offer one-time gifts. Since our giving pages blend seamlessly with your existing web page and are part of our services, you don’t have to worry about unsightly giving buttons or high fees. Having an online giving option can be especially beneficial with pet projects or in conjunction with event registrations.

Ministry Guidance

Although electronic giving and online giving services are stand-alone options with many organizations, here at eGiving.com, we believe that the tech tools we provide are only part of our ministry to you. We can help your leadership team to implement a strategic plan that allows you to effectively implement these and various other aspects of our giving tools in order to gain the best possible results. While we truly believe that God is the one Who gives the increase, we have seen Him work through faithful, unified, careful planning by many leadership teams at the organizations that we serve.

From churches to pregnancy centers and missionaries, we love seeing how God is using us to help accomplish His purposes in Christian ministries across the country and the world. We consider being used of Him to be a responsibility and a privilege and would be honored to partner with your ministry, as well. To get started with eGiving.com, check out our official sign-up form and discuss it with your ministry’s leadership team.
